About Shore Tire Company

Shore Tire has been located in the Kansas City Metro area for over 76 years as an auto repair center and tire dealer. Since the beginning, our business has been focused on building strong customer relationships and providing the highest quality of workmanship on each and every automotive repair.

Waldo G. Shore opened a wholesale tire outlet, named Gillette Tire Sales Company, on East 31st St. in Kansas City, MO in 1946. After 13 successful years, Shore changed the name to Shore Tire Company, Inc. and expanded the operation.

Sales grew through the years and more than 7 decades and 5 locations later, what was once a small tire shop has become one of the largest independent tire and auto repair facilities in the Kansas City Metro area.

Christopher Shore, grandson of Waldo, is now president of Shore Tire Company. George Shore, Waldo’s son, served as President for 35 years from 1970 to 2005. Offering a wide variety of tire and related products and services, Shore Tire is located in Lenexa, KS, just off 95th St. and Interstate 35, and employs more than 45 people.

Not only do we have one of the largest automotive shops in the Kansas City area, but we also have one of the largest in-store tire inventories. With so many different tire brands and sizes right here in our facility, we’re sure to have the right tire for your vehicle.

We are members of Lenexa Chambers of Commerce. We’ve been serving the area since 1946, and what a life it’s been!
